Principal's Profile

Dr. D. Nagaraja Kumari is presently Associate Professor in the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. She holds the position of the Chairperson, Board of Studies in Education (PG) in Department of Education, Andhra University. Dr. Nagaraja Kumari did her Post- Graduation in Economics, Psychology and Education from Andhra University. She did her B.Ed. (Special Education) in a learning disability i.e. Mental Retardation (MR) from Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. She has submitted Ph.D Thesis on Total Quality Management in Secondary Schools of Visakhapatnam Distric under the guidance of Prof. K.P.Subba Rao, Department of Education. She was awarded Ph.D. in Education from the Andhra University in the year 2010.

She has actively been involved in academic, research and extension activities in Andhra University. There are as many as 16 candidates were awarded Ph.D.'s and 8 candidates were awarded M.Phil.'s under her guidance and supervision. She also guided more than 400 dissertations of M.Ed students. She attended about 45 National and State level Seminars and Conferences conducted by various institutions of high repute. She got several research publications to her credit. These publications include 47 research articles, 4 books, 8 book chapters, and 3 Proceedings of International Conferences. She got patents recently for innovative teaching methods.

She is a member of Inspection Committee for the Extension of Annual Affiliation to various B.Ed Colleges which are affiliated to Andhra University. She is acting as a Subject Expert for the selection and recruitment of assistant professors in various universities. Dr.Nagaraja Kumari is a life member of Indian Association of Teacher Educators (IATE) and currently acting as the Coordinator of IGNOU Study Center (IASE) in Visakhapatnam.
